House Washing

We offer a professional house wash service in Havelock North, Hastings and Napier that is gentle on exterior surfaces and takes care of stubborn grime and moss and mould spores at the same time. Unlike harsher waterblasting techniques, our soft wash house wash won’t damage painted or timber surfaces. Soft washing is the process of first applying our safe cleaning agents and then rinsing the solution from the surface with a low pressure stream of water. Our house wash service includes exterior walls from the outside of the gutters to ground level including exterior gutters/spouting/downpipes, eaves/soffits, entrances, joinery and base of house.
Our house washing products are completely safe for your whole family, including your pets and plants. They are also suitable for rural dwellings on tank water supply.

Gutter cleaning

Blocked gutters can lead to major water damage to your property if not cleaned out regularly. It is recommended that you have your gutters cleaned twice a year, once in late spring and again in late autumn after the leaves have fallen. This ensures that leaves and debris don’t build up and lead to the growth of moss and mould over the winter months
TLC Housewash will remove all debris from your gutters by hand. Once the gutters are clear of debris, we will flush the gutters and downpipes before washing the gutters inside and out.

Roof wash & roof treatment

If you are wanting an immediate result on your roof, then you will require a roof wash. TLC Housewash will apply our combination of cleaning agents to your roof, which includes a moss, mould and lichen killer. The mixture is then washed off using our soft wash technique. There may be an additional fee should we need to utilise our safety rigging harness.
Alternatively, we can treat your roof with our long lasting, slow acting moss, mould and lichen killer. This kills the moss, mould and lichen (including spores) over a period between 2 weeks and 6 months (depending on moss type)

Driveways, paths & decks

Wet damp weather causes a build-up of fungus and moss, not only making your paths/driveways and decks look unsightly, but it can also be very dangerous when it gets slippery.
TLC Housewash will first spray your surface with our cleaning agent which removes mould/fungus and kills the spores, and preventing the return of it. The areas are then pressure washed using medium to high water pressure.
Once we have completed the pressure washing, we wash away any splash back leaving all areas looking clean, neat and tidy.

Pre-paint washing

A pre-paint house wash is the ideal way to prepare the exterior of your house for painting. Not only does it clean the surface which is to be painted, but it also kills all moss, mould and lichen, leaving your exterior surfaces sterile. If required, we can also remove most loose and chalky paint, by increasing the pressure slightly. Painting over a dirty or dusty surface can mean your new exterior paint will likely bubble and flake later on.

Commercial Building Washing

Reduce your repairs and maintenance costs by having your valued commercial assets looked after by TLC Housewash through regular building washing.
TLC Housewash will do our best to ensure the least disturbance to your normal business operations whilst we are cleaning the exterior of your commercial building. If absolutely necessary, allowances can be made to carry out your building wash outside of normal business hours. Our Commercial Building wash covers from the outside of the gutters to the base of the building.
We can also wash paths, decking and roofing.
